Durham Integrative Health and Acupuncture Center is a 501c3 organization that's mission is to offer effective holistic medicine for Triangle area residents for a range of conditions utilizing four of the eight branches of the Chinese tradition; acupuncture, herbal medicine, bodywork, and nutrition. ​

 

While we treat conditions, we are profoundly grounded in an understanding of how to cultivate health. To do so, we encourage practices that are rooted in millenia old traditons to regulate "normal" using diet, breath, movement and alignment with natural cycles. This is what differentiates Chinese medicine from Western, when both treatment and self cultivation happen, we see incredible changes.

A traditional East Asian worldview, is holistic by nature, and sees health as a state of regulated responsiveness between what's inside and what's outside.

We believe everyone can be empowered to take care of their health and find balance (that regulated responsiveness) harmony, and well being.

 

Our practitioners start from the assumption that everyone has an innate capacity for self healing, arising from aligning with the deep intelligence and integrity of nature itself (Dao). We help people navigate the various streams of health information in our media dense world and cull what's best from the recomendations and research of the west, while grounding healing and health cultivation in the point of view and practices of Chinese medicine.

Please note I don't work directly with insurance, I accept HSA and FSA and offer detailed receipts one time per month (or every 4 appts) for submitting to your insurance or FSA. As a small non profit, I do require a deposit for booking, I hope you understand.
